A new, yet simple – respiratory device

Intermittent positive pressure breathing, shortly IPPB, is a technique used to provide short term or intermittent mechanical ventilation via mouthpiece or mask to augment lung expansion and deliver additional oxygen or aerosol medication.

For the IPPB therapy, a mechanical respirator with pressure boost is used to deliver a controlled pressure of a gas to assist in ventilation or expansion of the lungs. These expansions provide an increased tidal volume for patients with a variety of pulmonary conditions.

We have developed our product during the outbreak of the COVID-19, also called the Coronavirus to help and assist medical personal and patients with a revolutionary, yet simple device.

The task was to design the most simple to use, a robust but still helpful device to treat patients in mobile hospitals or countries with a lack of available non-invasive as invasive ventilators.

Pneuma 95 – Pneumatic respiratory device (IPPB)

The Pneuma 95 is a respiratory device with intermittent positive pressure breathing assistance.
The functions of the device support inhalation of medicinal or aerosol medications, commonly used by physiotherapists.

With the assistance of Pneuma 95 respiratory device, patients with breathing difficulties can breathe slowly and deeply effortless. Nebulised medicine aerosols can easily penetrate in the lungs and act quickly.

The Pneuma 95 is designed for adults and children of over 15 kg.

It may be used for clinical respiratory therapy for resident patients in the hospital, at the physiotherapy clinic or mobile hospitals.

Pneuma 95 provides non-invasive respiratory therapy that can safely remove secretions from the airway passages. This function we call cough assist, a non-invasive alternative to suctioning.

Healthcare professionals can use our device with an oxygen mask, mouthpiece or with the adapter to connect to an endotracheal or trach tube to reduce the respiratory infections or problems.
